Start them young
We take tots from ages 2.5 and introduce them to some of the basic skills of kickboxing.
Our classes are 30 minutes long, and are broken into 3 or 4 mini games.
Some working on co-ordination & listening, some focusing more on Martial Arts.
Parents - be ready to train with the kids, you are our pad feeders & crowd control! So wear suitable clothing as you'll be joining in for some of the lesson​
We award our Kong Tots new belts based on class attendance, giving them certificates to keep them motivated.

Diddy & me
help train your child
During our Diddy & Me sessions, the parents get an opportunity to help pad feed for their children watching and helping them learn new skills & develop.
We've also found some children aren't quite ready for learning in an unknown environment, this class bridges that gap and builds their confidence.
The sessions are 45 minutes long and are broken into a warm up where mums & dads should be prepared to do the odd push up or race! Followed by a main session where you'll get a chance work directly with your child, helping them learn new kickboxing techniques & combos.
Wear suitable clothing as you'll be joining in for some of the lesson​.
Diddy Kongs grade every 2 months, with the aim to achieve a grey belt before they move up to the older class.

When teaching children age 4 - 6 it's all about making the sessions fun. If a child enjoys what they are being taught, they are more likely to stick at the sport.
Our classes will help develop basic motor skills needed in every day life, such as balance, co-ordination and teamwork.
The sessions consist of a fun, game based warm up, followed by practising their favourite kicks and punches on pads with our coaches.
We grade our Diddy Kong classes every two months, giving them certificates for new coloured belts to keep them motivated.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a complicated sport, the younger you start the better!
We take kids from 4 - 7 during this session and introduce them to the basics of jiujitsu.
Our classes focus on having fun while learning. Kids will also develop skills such as balance, co-ordination and teamwork.
We encourage our kids to spar each session, to prepare them for tournaments and competitive fights as they grow older.

Enrol your child in the fastest growing combat sport in the world.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is becoming more & more popular in the UK; so much so, the sport is now becoming eligible in the GCSE PE curriculum
The aim of BJJ is to take your opponent to the ground, gain a dominant position, from where you can pick up locks, and chokes.
The principles of the martial art relies on knowledge, balance and manipulating your partner, rather than strength or weapons. This means it can suit every type of child
With options to train 3 times a week, Kong couldn't be a better place to learn.​

Our instructors and coaches are DBS checked, and all Black Belt Instructors are first aid trained.
Classes are discipline based while remaining fun for the children; who will be working towards a junior grade black belt during their time in this class

Bored of the treadmill?
Our ladies only sessions are a 45 minute group class perfect for burning kcal & having fun!
Due to the classes being quieter, you get more 1:1 time with the instructors.
Ladies can achieve up to a red belt before needing to move across to the advanced mixed sessions. Gradings are not compulsory for the ladies so there's never any pressure.
​You'll be learning real kickboxing with real black belt instructors- this is not a boxercise class so buckle up girls! The classes are slightly more fitness based than the normal mixed beginner sessions.

Our advanced classes aren't for the faint hearted. ​
You'll be pushed for an hour of fitness and spinning kicks.
The advanced class is your chance to practice what you've learnt, with sparring nights and heavy pad work with some of the best instructors around. ​
If your ready to take your training to the next level, then this class is for you!
​We are happy to accept students from other clubs who are looking to grow their kickboxing knowledge or stand up game. There is no politics at Kong and everyone is welcome
Due to the nature of this class, full sparring kit is required.

Our Monday instructor is Pete O'Shea
Pete is a Black Belt 1st degree at Carlson Gracie under André Pimenta and works with youths helping keep them on the right path when he is not instructing. Our Wednesday instructor is Angelo Duarte
Angelo has been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 10 years and is a Black Belt at Carlson Gracie under André Pimenta.
​Our Tuesday night coach - Paolo, runs a fundamentals session, focusing on all the basics you'll need to get you going. Paolo is a Brown Belt at Carlson Gracie.

Kong fitness is perfect for non martial artists, as well as students wishing to compliment their training with extra fitness.

Kong Boxing
sharpen your hands
Kong boxing was another arrow added to our bow in September, allowing those who want to sharpen their hand skills a dedicated class to do this in.
​
Our Friday evening class is a mixture of pad work and sparring, focusing on things like footwork, technique & fitness.
Sessions are 60 minutes long, meaning your fitness levels will certainly increase.

Our Friday evening class is run by Francis Fisher who has several years boxing experience under his belt, along with competitive fights!
Francis is keen to get a team of Amateur guys competing in White Collar, so get training!
